Come to Mevagissey in December. The Christmas lights switch on on Saturday 1st December is always a great event. Harbour View has holiday availability through December and over Christmas.

Poldark filming in Charlestown

Friends of ours caught the cast of Poldark filming in Charlestown this week. If you visit Harbour View Mevagissey you could go and visit the location yourself. Charlestown is 10 minutes up the coast from Harbour View.

Thank you to http://www.onestopbugshop.co.uk for the video. Go check out their store for all your bug related toys.

Autumn in Cornwall

Autumn is a time when it’s a bit quieter in Cornwall. Kids have gone back to school, the beaches are less crowded. There’s still lots going on though and the sunrises are later and the sunsets earlier so lots of great photo opportunities. Come to Harbour View Mevagissey this Autumn and you’re ideally placed to visit all that Cornwall has to offer. We still have holiday availability in October so have a look and book now.

October in Cornwall

Places to go…

There are lots of lists out there about the best places to visit in Cornwall whilst you are on holiday, it’s obviously pretty subjective and to be honest there’s so many great spots to spend time at you could argue about it for months. I came across this photographers blog today and apart from the fact that Mevagissey is on his list (Why wouldn’t it be) his other choices also meet with my approval. So have a look, his photographs are great too…

When you come and stay with us this is what you’ll see when you draw back the curtains in the morning. Check out our availability for Autumn and beyond.

Community Services for Mevagissey

You may or may not know but Cornwall Council is cutting funding for a multitude of services including the provision of public toilets for places like Mevagissey.

The residents and business owners in the village have come together to try and keep these facilities open for the use of locals and tourists alike but they cannot be run without significant funding.

Please help to keep the toilets open, spend a penny…..or maybe a pound on the link below 🙂
